China’s MIIT type-approval results show that Ricoh R09010 received approval on June 25, 2025. The applicant is RICOH IMAGING COMPANY, LTD. (Japan), certificate 2025-11673, with CMIIT ID 25J9955A9010 and five-year validity.[1]
The class covers 5.8GHz, 5.1GHz and 2.4GHz wireless LAN and Bluetooth. The approval gives no lens, resolution or release date.[1]
Contemporary context: Ricoh had already announced GR IV development and an HDF-version plan on May 22. This is therefore a certification follow-up after the development announcement, with no retail-name mapping in the approval, not a first exposure of an unannounced GR IV.[7]
Subsequent update: NCC records June 30 as the approval date. A Ricoh conformity declaration signed July 22 explicitly maps R09010 to the GR IV, formally announced August 21 and released in Japan September 12.[2][3][4]
Cross-year update: the GR IV Monochrome was formally announced January 15, 2026 and released in Japan February 13. Its current official manual also specifies R09010. Sharing this code does not constitute a new monochrome-only approval; NCC’s August 18, 2026 entry is a certificate replacement.[2][5][6]
