Ricoh released firmware 1.30.1 for the RICOH360 THETA A1 on December 16, 2025. The update combines a new connection method with changes to image processing and wireless security.[1]
For wireless LAN client mode, the camera can now scan a QR code directly to configure its connection. Client mode connects the camera to an existing wireless network, so this addition reduces the setup work involved in preparing an A1 for networked business use.[1]
Ricoh also revises the algorithms used for HDR rendering and handheld HDR shooting to reduce the effects of camera shake and subject movement. Separate changes improve color reproduction under fluorescent and LED lighting and in environments with a low color temperature. HDR rendering in low light receives additional noise reduction.[1]
The wireless LAN access-point mode gains WPA3 support. Ricoh lists minor bug fixes alongside the named additions and recommends updating to the latest firmware through the camera’s official update procedure.[1]
