Ricoh Imaging announced Tokyo Metro × PENTAX camera straps on February 2, 2026. They reuse seat fabric from retired Marunouchi Line 02-series trains, in red from regular seats and blue from priority seats. After cleaning, the fabric is sewn by craftspeople in Tokyo’s Adachi ward, with cooperation from CURA.[1]
Both cost ¥9,280 including tax. Ricoh’s online store and PENTAX Clubhouse scheduled applications from 11:00 on February 6, followed by rolling shipments, with 150 of each color initially. Metro’s sales channel scheduled noon February 16, with a further 80 per color.[1]
The straps incorporate Tokyo Metro uniform-sleeve details and PENTAX branding. The neck section is about 38mm wide, fitting cameras with strap lugs at least 10mm wide. Application opening and first delivery are distinct; February 6 is not a universal retail release date.
