Ricoh introduced a corporate version of the THETA X on March 18, 2025, with Simple Capture and Brand Logo plugins preinstalled. The offering builds on the THETA X hardware and targets companies integrating 360-degree images into their own services.[1]
Simple Capture provides preset shooting settings so field staff can take photographs without using a smartphone. It can embed metadata during capture, automatically upload images to RICOH360 Cloud and connect those images to partner systems. Brand Logo displays a company’s chosen logo on the camera’s LCD.[1]
Update — April 10: Ricoh launches the RICOH360 Business Package in Japan. This separate service offering combines the THETA camera, mobile and web applications, cloud image management, accessory rental, equipment damage coverage and support. Its announcement identifies THETA X rental and describes international expansion as a plan. Some access-control sharing features are marked for phased introduction.[2]
Update — October 23: The RICOH360 Business Package Type S launches for management of multiple sites. Staff select the site album and shoot on the camera without a smartphone or mobile app; charging triggers automatic cloud upload. Site names can be configured remotely through the web interface. The package includes applications, THETA and accessory rental with damage coverage, and support.[3]
